This division manages the general use of shared equipment, serving as a point of contact for researchers on campus, research institutions outside the university, and private companies. Examples include managing applications and usage of shared equipment through a web-based system, and providing consultation and coordination regarding equipment users' needs and technology.
In addition, we are working with the Core Facility Management and Operations Division to establish an integrated equipment management system. By building this new system, we aim not only to manage a series of processes from equipment reservation and use to billing, but also to link equipment use with research results and other markers, and to incorporate the information obtained from the system into the strategic maintenance and renewal of equipment to promote research at the University.
